Strathmore Pack Walks

If you have a dog that is reactive to other dogs, then this is the place you want to be.

Let's help your dog relax, and even feel comfortable being around other dogs.

When: Wednesdays from 5 - 6:30 PM

Where: Woodland Reservoir

Meet Up: Parking Lot off of Geddes

The Plan

5:00 Meet in the Parking Lot and line up with your dog

5:00 - 5:15 Kendal will go from dog to dog and help the owner understand what's going on with their dog, coaching them on how to manage their dog's reactivity

5:15 - 5:45 Walk as a group down Twin Hills Drive to Onondaga Park

5:45 - 6:00 Gather in the field by the playground and pool

6:00 - 6:30 OPTIONAL: Pack Walk back to the Reservoir (or you can walk back in small groups or individually)

Price Per Dog

$10

Here are some best practices to avoid issues.

No harnesses

No flexi leashes

All dogs must be on a leash, 4ft is preferred.

Dog must be wearing a collar or slip lead that is secure and will not slip over the ears.

Keep all dogs at least 5 feet away from each other at all times.

Do not allow your dog to fixate on the other dogs. Glancing is okay. Staring is not.

Keep a slow enough pace in the event people need to fall back to create distance to address reactivity. Walk slow enough so they can catch up as their dog has calmed down.

If your dog is pulling on the leash, do not walk forward. Instead, guide your dog to stand behind you or next to you before you proceed.

Bring treats or a toy to reward your dog when they disengage from the other dogs to look at you.

Keep your energy calm and relaxed. Don’t worry if your dog reacts. This is a learning experience for everyone and it’s okay if your dog needs help!

Kendal has been a great addition to our home.

Finding someone trustworthy to come to your home when you aren't there to take care of your anxiety ridden dogs is not an easy feat.

Check her out!

Kendal is an awesome human!

I totally vouch for her as a dog professional and person!

-Christie Leigh R - Syracuse

Kendal has helped me from afar. Josie is very reactive to other dogs and has a lot of fear.

Working with Kendal remotely, I've been able to learn how to help Josie calm down and feel more at peace. She's a much happier dog, and I'm a much happier doggie dad!

Thanks Kendal!

-Keith P - Murfreesboro, TN

Kendal Leigh trains my dog. He is a rescue and needs TLC! She is so patient and good with him.

Helped him get over his fears.
